Printing
on dark color garments is different than printing
on white or light color garments. When printing
on dark colors with a lighter color of ink a
"Flash Cure" is required - a white
ink "Flash Base" is printed then flash
dried before the other "top" ink color(s)
are printed ontop of the Flash Base white color.
The reason this is done is that when a light
or white ink is printed on a dark color garment,
the ink tends to take on the color of the shirt
or garment (known as "Bleed"). The
flash base helps to prevent this, but does cost
slightly more. |
